Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Signal mobile application and related services (the "Service") provided by AdaComp ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Signal lets you monitor the availability of websites and HTTP endpoints you choose, view their check history and statistics, and receive push notifications when a monitored target goes down or recovers. Checks are performed from our servers.

2. Your account

Signal creates an anonymous, device-based identity automatically. No email or password is required. You are responsible for the activity that occurs through your device and for the targets you add for monitoring.

3. Acceptable use

  • Only monitor endpoints you own or are authorized to monitor.
  • Do not use the Service to attack, overload, or disrupt any system, or to circumvent access controls.
  • Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any third party's rights.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

We may suspend or limit access that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or could harm the Service or others.

4. Availability & changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Monitoring intervals, retention, and limits may change.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that monitoring will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free, or that every outage or recovery will be detected or delivered. Signal is a convenience tool and should not be your sole means of detecting critical failures.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AdaComp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

7. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Privacy

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Signal collects, how we use it, and your choices. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the Service.

Data we collect

Device identifier
Used to create your anonymous account and link monitors to your device.
Push notification token
Used to deliver downtime and recovery alerts to your device.
Monitor details
Name, URL and settings used to perform the checks you requested.
Check results
Used to show uptime statistics, logs and incident history.
Technical info
Basic platform information used to operate and troubleshoot the Service.
Subscription status
Used to unlock Premium access, restore purchases, and process renewal or cancellation events.

What we do not collect

  • No name, email, phone number, or password.
  • No advertising identifiers and no cross-app or website tracking.
  • No location, contacts, photos, or microphone access.

How we use data

Data is used solely to provide and maintain the Service: running your checks, computing statistics, and sending the alerts you opted into. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Sharing

We share data only with infrastructure providers that host the Service on our behalf, including cloud/database providers, the Expo push notification service used to deliver notifications, Apple for App Store purchases, and RevenueCat for subscription status management, strictly to operate the Service. We may disclose data if required by law.

Retention & deletion

We keep your monitors and history until you delete them or request deletion. You can delete any monitor in the app at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact info@adacomp.us from your device or use the in-app delete option where available; we will remove your data within 30 days.

Children

Signal is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

We may update this Policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.

License

End User License Agreement

This EULA is a contract between you and AdaComp for the Signal application ("Licensed Application"). By downloading or using Signal you agree to it.

1. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Signal on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

2. Restrictions

  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Licensed Application.
  • You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except as permitted by law.

3. Scope & Apple

This license is granted by AdaComp, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the Licensed Application. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it against you. Maintenance, support, warranty, product claims, and legal compliance are the sole responsibility of AdaComp, not Apple.

4. No warranty

The Licensed Application is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. In the event of any failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund (if applicable); beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation.

5. Limitation of liability

To the extent not prohibited by law, AdaComp's liability is limited as described in our Terms of Service.

6. Termination

This license is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach it. Upon termination, you must stop using and delete the Licensed Application.

I'm not receiving push notifications.

Make sure notifications are enabled for Signal in your device Settings, and that you are using a build with push support. Open the app's Settings tab to see your notification status.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual monitors in the app, or email us at info@adacomp.us to remove your account and all data.

How often are my sites checked?

You choose the interval per monitor, from 30 seconds up to 1 hour, when you add or edit it.
